Jeff Martinez, a volunteer who has been in all week long, working with one internet connection, got 5 of our systems up and ready for donations. He caught up our list AND he’s getting more on back stock done for us. This guy is amazing! He’s been taking in donations, working around the craziness that sometimes happens at a non-profit, cleaning up and still with a smile on his face! He called in his cousin Jeremy from Arizona and the two of them got busy on getting our internet connection back up and running on the C4K side of the building! ! Way to go guys and THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK  YOU!

We still need to get our classroom finished, below is a list of projects and items we need in order to get this done. The completion of this project has many benefits to us and the public! Our classroom will allow us to complete the HRDC orientation after the kids finish Life Skills, we will be able to hold our annual 2 day classroom fundraiser at our location versus trying to find a venue outside of C4K (which can waste money and time having to transport computers across town!) We will be able to begin our adult computer education classes early next year. We’re even thinking of starting up a lil internet “cafe” or hot spot for people to stop in and check their email or print up a resume.

So with all that said here is the list of things we need:

• drywalling for one 8 foot wall section
• painting the finished wall, touch ups and some trim.
• approx 30 student sized desks or double tables that can be used as desk area for computer systems
• 30-35 student chairs
• book cases ( tall 5 shelf ) we need 2-3
• Office supplies ( Pens pencils rubber-band paper-clips spiral notebooks printer paper )
• heavy duty extension cords and 50ft Ethernet cables

As always cash donations are accepted. Don’t forget for a 100$ donation, Bryar Patch Photography will do an hour long photo shoot for you and your family and include the CD with all of the images!
